We Came as Romans (abreviado como WCAR y antiguamente llamados This Emergency) es una banda estadounidense de metalcore formada en Troy, Míchigan, en el año 2005. El grupo se encuentra actualmente conformado por Dave Stephens (voz gutural, voz limpia y sintetizadores), Andy Glass (bajo), Joshua Moore (guitarra), Brian «Lou» Cotton (guitarra) y David Puckett (batería). En abril de 2009 firmaron con el sello discográfico Equal Vision Records, con quienes han publicado seis álbumes de estudio: To Plant a Seed (2009), Understanding What We've Grown to Be (2011), Tracing Back Roots (2013), We Came as Romans (2015), Cold Like War (2017), Darkbloom (2022) y su reciente álbum All Is Beautiful... Because We're Doomed (2025).
